About Us
Pepper on the side is much about home made food as it is about family. We learned the traditions and recipes from growing up in Trinidad. Once a year our family would host a religious ceremony where hundreds of the locals would gather to participate in the function, followed by a feast of home made food provided by our family.
Growing up from humble beginnings we decided to take a chance at giving Canada an opportunity to taste the authenticity of where we came from. In 2015, we opened our first restaurant. If you miss the food from back home. You can bet that when you come to Pepper on The Side , you’ll be reminded of that fresh island breeze from the smells of doubles, curries and rotis.
Pepper on the side is a family run business from a labour of love. Our core values are great service, great food, all day, everyday. In addition, we work with our community, live in this community and continuously support the younger generations of our future.
